So I thought I had my cpi tuned good but now when I start to accelerate from dead stop there is a slight pause then wants to go like a bat outta hell but then slows down again until it finally reaches a top speed. I like the top speed but the length to get there takes to long. Roller weights? I believe I'm using 5g weights. Carb tuning issues? Or maybe clutch? Also I put on a k&n airfilter and seemed ok but wasent. Figure I have to up jet so I put stock filter back on.

Sometimes a stock torque driver with dual angled paths will do some of what you describe. They often have a very noticeable shift where RPM drops and then has to rise again with speed to get back into the powerband. Lighter rollers could get RPM up off the line and after the shift better, but you may rev too high at speed or before the shift. Gotta try it to find out.
Yes, you will need to tune the carb for the open filter.

How come my cpi keeps soft seizing only when another person is on it with me? Then when I put in a bigger jet and ran it with only me it sift seized? Now I think the cylinder and piston fully seized. Man, I have the worst of luck!
