Keep things nice & clean and organized. Lube the piston/rings/bearings while assembling. Take your time and if stuck or confused ask questions. Enjoy the build.

Watch the cylinder to case gasket carefully. I've seen those get tweeked and cause an oil leak. Also, make sure to install the steel, round guide sleeves.
You're in for a pleasant surprise when done.

Keep the beer for when you hear it roar.

Does anyone have a diagram of where all the dowels are located. I swear I ended up with an extra one. I had 2 on the left side of the jug when I put the piston on. Then there were 2 on the valve head. Top left and bottom right. And I have one left. Where would it go. Outside the valve head where the rocker arms bolt up to it?

I think the rocker arm assembly takes dowels, could be wrong.

Nvmd I ended up taking one off a parts scooter. It was missing a dowel from the head which is why it had low compression, well at least I guess so. I don't know if a missing dowel would cause low compression but I'm about to fire her ass up and see how she rides
