So I'm cruising down the back roads this evening around 9pm. It's dark as hell with just a scooter headlight. I'm cruising at around 39-40 mph when all of a sudden a damn deer on the side of the road runs right out in front of me. I slammed on my breaks and barely clipped his hind end. Didn't hurt nothing but man I almost had a heart attack. I had to stop and regain myself. I was prepared to wreck lol. Luckily nothing happened other than a rapid heartbeat. Y'all be safe out on them streets

Be careful fellas.

There were about 10 of them by the road on my ride last night. I turned around to get a better look with my headlights since I had the GoPro on for a screencap for this thread, but it's so dark you still can't see them on the vid. There are tons of them in the country, so they're always scaring the crap outta me.
This was one of my scariest moments with a deer. Unfortunately you can't see anything really. I had just changed the headlight switches on this scoot. I saw a deer that was going to cross and went to switch to the brighter lights and instead I flipped my headlights off (I changed the switches around after this experience). I couldn't see anything so I just braked and tried to stay on the road. You can hear the deer's hoofs pass very close in front of me as I stop.

Crazy that you could accidentally switch them off completely like that ..at speed in pitch darkness no less!
