The fan is usually white plastic and its got a cover, black. in the pic you have the top shroud. you need it the bottom shroud the fan and the cover or you will cook your engine.

what is a main jet . they just took it out the box n installed it because the one day put on the day before was bad it's a brand new carb 2 days old national I been riding it since Sunday. it booked out on me n shut down for 3 min but crank back up after kicking n push start It probably soft seized on you. The piston got so hot and expanded and stuck to the sides of the cylinder. You probably won't be so lucky next time.

Main jet is a fuel metering device that can be changed for bigger or smaller one's depending on what the motor needs. Whatever came stock inside the carburetor is surely not big enough to handle a bigger bore and the open type filter you are using.

Yeah thats the fan and the fan cover. I saw the top shroud so all I havent seen is the bottom shroud and the rubber gasket that goes around the head.

so this isn't a fan or a shroud either. and why didn't my bike come with one of its needed it So now you have two parts of the shroud. You are missing the bottom half that goes around the cylinder. You need them all. No idea why it didn't come with one. Guarantee you though, with out any doubt, that it NEEDS to be there.

The bad news is to put the shroud on you must take off the exhaust and the intake. The good news is if you put it on you wont fry your new engine.

It needs to drain back into the cover. after it sits a while or you remove the hose and drain what oil is in it it will be fine. the problem was you had it maybe 1/4 full of oil. the pressure of it running will blow it out. but after cleaning it what comes out will just be vapor and what condenses in the hose will drip back into the cover.
