Mechanic came over. Cause scooter wasn't starting. Here is video. It only started with jumper cabels. Then died later . Adsted mixture screw and idle. Checked diaphram. Hooked jump cabels up. Started up. Took for a spin it felt like it was going to die. Turned it off and tried to crank without cabels did not. He called his friend and explained the situation. He immediately said stator is there any other suggestions besides the stator.

Voltage regulator, fuse, bad wire/ connection.... Or yea stator or even just a dead cell battery...
Good luck! 😊

Tell me, was the car running when you jumped the scooter?

yes it would not run unless car was running Ouch... Not good... Bad to jump scooters (even motorcycles!) off a running vehicle! You might have fried some or most of the electronics... Hope you have a multi-meter, as you will need one. I would check battery (off and disconnected from scooter), then go from there... Stator, voltage regulator, fuse, conductivity of wires and so on... Hope is fuse or battery that took the hit... If not well then hope it is voltage regulator.... After that well ya get into the stator.... If that isn't it, well you are in for some electrical problem chasing fun... Happy issue hunting!

Yes, a running vehicle's alternator is putting out about 14.7 volts and your scooter is looking for 12 volts. What kind of "mechanic" is this guy anyway? My daughter even learned the proper way to jump start a vehicle when she was 16.

Battery is new 1 month old Seems like everything you are having trouble with on that scooter is a "month old". Good possibility your scooter's starter is getting tired from all that cranking.

yes it would not run unless car was running Not good. A car's alternator puts out 40-70 amps of current. Your scooters charging system puts out 2-4 amps. Chances are your voltage regulator/rectifier might of been damaged. You should use a charger with a low amp output, or a battery booster pack. I'v worked on many riding mowers that were jumped by a car then person complain that the battery was always going dead. Most have a diode that allows current to pass in one direction but not the other. When jumping with a car, the current is so high the diode get cooked and shorts allowing the current to pass in both directions, or it blows and leaves the circuit open.

When he does get his bike running I bet he has no head lights. Lol I speak from experience, don't jump a scooter with a car while the cars engine is running... totally not necessary anyways.
