Just ordered a set of lighter rollers from scrappy dog. Going 25 tops against the wind should be taken care of. Should wake er up, I got 5.5 gram ones.

Good luck with it. My wife used to hate the amount of rollers and jets I used to buy. Finding that sweet spot can be tricky, and the more you tune the your scoot the harder it is

5 gram or 5.5 gram with a stock contra should do you good.
I had 5 gram rollers in my Dongfang, That kept the variator open enough I could do 33 to 35 mph into a wind, Before I was lucky to get 25mph.
I've since installed a blue (1k) contra spring, which gets me great acceleration into a wind to about 35mph, but I'm sure I lost a little top end. Since I ride WOT most of the time, I'm going to go to heavier rollers (5.5 gram). This should get me the top end back. It's always windy in the Thumb of MI., and I needed to be able to get over 25mph (if I was lucky) into the wind, and also, to be able to maintain some speed on hills. We don't have many steep hills, but some are long and I would slow down to 20mph. With the 5 gram rollers & stock contra I can stay over 30mph on the same hills.
If it works, keep the setup. CVT tuning is a give & take and a lot of trial &error to get it right.

You could also mix the old rollers with the new ones if they turn out to be too light.

The 1k contra spring is too much on my scoot, the best setup for me is Stock contra spring and 5 gram rollers.
So you should be on the right track.

Hopefully I don't have to mess with contra springs, etc. Right now,its perfect. If I coast to a stop sign,I feel something (clutch)?) disengage at about 5 mph, just before I stop.
