Hello all, how do you all change your tires? Mine has 10 inch wheels. Do you take the wheels to a motorcycle shop and have them put the new ones on?

Vise to break bead, tire irons to take off tire and put tire on, I admit I use granny fluid instead of soapy water, air tire up... Oh and sometimes ALOT of profanities lol

Do not overlook balancing.
Balancing the tires (even 10" tires) makes a YUGE difference in the ride.
I just balanced the front tire on my 150 yesterday and now it's smooth as silk.

Somehow that just seems so wrong. And admitting to it? Somethings are just better left behind closed doors... auto-correct: Making people seem freaky every day

"If your tire has a balance dot, make sure you install the tire so the dot lines up with your valve stem" as mentioned in link: Read more: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/380/change-tire#ixzz4IR2H149tI recently changed my tires and there was a dot on the sidewall I aligned with the valve stem. I did not notice any problem with tire balance but I don't ride much over 35 mph.

M'kay, how do I balance the wheels? You can balance the wheels by spinning the wheel between some Axel stands, or even a weork mate. Just use the axle. The stick on weights are available from eBay. You need to tape them on till you get the right weight opposite the heavy spot. Once the weight is right peel the backing off and fix permanently.

M'kay, how do I balance the wheels? www.youtube.com/watch?v=9koGE_HrTJ8Products like Ride-On and Dynabeads are also out there. I use Ride-On mostly, but obviously use weights at times. I like Ride-On because it balances and could potentially keep me from getting a flat on the road. It's one of the more expensive options though, not counting the initial cost of a balance rig and weights.
