Hi everyone I got a tech question here, anyone used one of the little $10-15 tuning techs from ebay, if so what is the correct setting? Mine list these options 01-2stroke one cylinder 02-1 stroke per cylinder 03-1 stroke two cylinder I'm thinking 01 don't mean an actual 2t engine but maybe 1 spark every 2 strokes? Lol HELP!!!! I'm ready to finally tune with a tach. Thanks guys

Maybe setting 02? idk lol ....If so I'm launching at over 9k. That could explain my loss in acceleration

Just from reading the description id say 1. single cyl 2 stroke 2. single cyl 4t 3. Dual cyl 4t
What are you tuning? Put your scoot in your signature with all mods.

I tried it on 1 and 2. Hard to tell by ear not ever having a tach on here before and my diy exhaust makes it even harder to listen. Thanks for ur input

If i'm correct about 1 and 2, rpms on 1 should be around half of 2?

Yeah pretty close. I'm fixing to bundle up and go mess around with it a little. You know how it is when a kid gets new toys. A 43 year old kid lmao

Basically its measuring pluses from the coil.
On a 2 stroke, you are getting 1 spark per revolution per cycle.
On a 4 stroke, you are also getting on spark per revolution but it takes 2 revolutions of the crank to complete a cycle.(one spark cycle is wasted)
I would try 01 or 02 option.

Ditto on the wasted spark on a 4t(during the exhaust stroke, the plug fires again. This is called wasted spark. That's the theory behind a PAIR system to add air to the exhaust and when the plug fires on the exhaust stroke it should burn the unburned gas in the exhaust).
Set up will be that same as a 2t.

My Hyosung put out 2 pulses per revolution, I just adjusted the tach to handle it. I wish I could remember which setting I used.

setting 02 seems to be the correct setting for a 4t wasted spark engine.
