This morning I realized my cvt case only had 3 screws in it. I still ride to work on my back home I stopped at fam dollar I had to hold the cvt case up against the case while holding down brake and push button. Now the bendix spring broke off bendix and won't start. I replaced bendix but now it's just grinding here is video with new bendix but grinding any 💡 ideas? vimeo.com/193436516

Both sides of the seat need to be supported Same with the bendix, It needs to be supported on BOTH sides to work correctly. You are going to be back where you were awhile back with a worn/destroyed bushing, stripped gears on bendix/starter and a burnt up starter. Plus, 3 screws ?

Check your vacuum, fuel, and spark connections.

Start with the basics,
Check for spark, maybe a fouled plug, bad CDI ?
Drain carb bowl, maybe water in the fuel or no fuel at all.
Check valve lash/clearance.

DR. Floyd. Keep the CVT Cover on and the parts nice and tight now that you have it working. (find the missing bolts to the CTV cover first it's what is needed to hold the starter gear in place--(it must be done first for the rebuild to happen) Put you're battery on a good charger- the one you bought a few week's ago-(there's too much Crank going on at the shop, and you only need a little bit (3-5 sec -----it's going to start or it is not) -- no more crank then needed. Next we need to talk about Spark, air intake and how to test to see if you have fuel/flooded) ---> after your battery is fully charged. Let us know if you have spark.

Definitely sounds like a starter/bendix issue.

'Cranks' is one thing, meaning the engine revolves with the starter engaged. 'Starts' means the engine actually runs on gasoline from the carb after being 'cranked' or 'kicked' with the kick-start mechanism.
Every scoot takes a slightly different starting sequence or control settings. Yours just needs a little more throttle opening to start than the idle throttle setting. My scoot is the same way.
These scoots are definitely not modern computer controlled fuel injected engines, they have carbs...
