I've got quite a few. And I ought to share at least some of them before I lose them. One correction, though. I don't have many pics of true scooters. But I have quite a few of 'scooter cousins' such as mopeds and early motorcycles. Close enough, right? So here goes....... The first one is silly, but fun. And, being something of an old hippie, this is my kinda girl!
A colorized version of the "Quadrophenia" cover. A 1942 Sachs A Raleigh.

A 1956 Heinkel. An NSU. I don't remember, but I'll bet it's the model called the "Quick". Oooohh........and how about this little beauty from NSU? And now for something completely different: A 1964 Hercules Did you know that Triumph made an upright twin 2 stroke? I definitely didn't know it until I found this pic. It's a pretty obscure bike.

That 64 Hercules is so nearly a Honda cub!

That 64 Hercules is so nearly a Honda cub! Yup. It's pretty clear they were trying to get a piece of that Cub action, isn't it?

Interesting....
The Goggo seems kinda familiar. I suppose I've seen pics before. The OSA is, I think, completely unfamiliar to me. And it's not a bad looking scooter at all. At least from the side. From the front it's a bit clumsy. Though that's not necessarily bad. Some very loveable scooters had a 'clumsy' appearance.
Hey, I notice that that magazine cover has a price of 3 Zlote. Zlotys? Is it a Polish bike?

I still see quite a few NSU scooters riding round in the summer. I think they are quite cool. Not stupidly expensive for a rare bike either.

You're in the UK, aren't you? I had gotten the feeling that NSU had sold a number of bikes there. Way back when I had assumed they were a British company, as a matter of fact. Until I learned better.
You don't see them in the USA. I doubt if anyone even imported them here.
