Hi all. Any ideas on how to get a stripped nut off. I guess I over torqued it last time I took it off.

An impact gun will get it off but might damage your crank thread. I'll let some one else offer another suggestion.

I have a spare nut, magneto, and one minute ago I bought a spanner. Any ideas?

I have repeatedly drilled around the perimeter, CAREFULLY, until I could weaken it enough to pry it off. That chicken scooter store out of tawion sells titanium nuts.

@ frankenmech, those things are pricey!
@ oakleyscoot, the hex is nearly rounded, my regular sockets will still grip. I'll probably just wait on the spanner.
@ badbumpkin, I thought about drilling it too.
@ crawford, uh yeah. you are right. mine are 12 and ate the damn thing. thanks for the tip. i will be purchasing 6 pointed this morning haha.

Pricey, yes, but if you do the work you have to have the right tools. Otherwise you end up with your mess when you use the wrong tools, or improperly use them.
