UPDATE!! Matt from PFS contacted me and explained his findings. After sifting through the kits, he found that they're all in rough shape, their vendor must've changed suppliers on them without their knowledge. At this moment, they all are on clearance for DIY modifiers to play with crazy port mods for supercheap. He also is shipping me a sweet hoca replacement kit he personally inspected on the house! So for all you modders who want a cheap source of cylinders to play with, go get a clearanced pfs kit! Way way above and beyond! Thanks again Matt!

I got this universal parts 47mm bore kit (12mm pin) from partsforscooters.com for $89.99USD. it comes with head and base gaskets, pin, circlips, and rings, no head. I took a few pictures of the cylinder and piston to note a few details, namely the mis-cast arrow on the piston, the quality of the port edges, and the interference with the oil pump.
Heres a look at the piston, i marked the crown at the ring end locator pins to show it while its in the bore.
This presumes you install it as if the arrow were pointing to the exhaust port as it should be. Note my marker references and the exhaust port edges, that would shear both piston rings in a quickness.
This shows the underside, the piston skirt vents would pass exhaust gas in or fresh air/fuel/oil right out.
Correctly installed, ring gap on solid metal full stroke.
Underside, boost port shows through, no biggie.
Heres a few shots of the cylinder ports
Exhaust left, boost right, transfer center. Kinda chipped edges
The light makes this look off center, it really isnt...
Exhaust right, boost left. Still not... horrible...
The boost port here. Pretty uniform imo
And the cylinder skirt. Clean to me.
Heres my dry fit problem though
It isnt sitting flush by any means. Thats about a 1/4 inch gap.
Because its contacting the oiler pump. The fin profile on this is much bigger. I may try using a dremel to make the clearance, shouldnt be much of a notch if at all. I at least want to try using the oil pump before i pre-mix.
