So my "friends" brother gave me a p.o.s scoot. Basically engine frame and wire harness. He had it running at one point but now when I try to kick start it it's very hard to kick it. And when I put a battery on it for electric start it will barely turn over and makes a nasty grinding sound?? Now, he just replaced the starter clutch even though it didn't need it. And the flywheel is from a 125cc if that makes a difference?? Any help would be appreciated. I'm gonna go ahead and guess the starter clutch got put in wrong. If it was fine before, and he "fixed" it, I'm sure that's what went wrong. Oh, and sell what parts of a scooter he gave you before he steals it back some how. ;D

Well if anybody needs a 150cc engine it's for sale. I have a new piston and cylinder to go with it.

don't know if you still have ya scoot but I had the very same problem with mine it wouldn't turn over and the flywheel was making a terrible noise, so I replaced the starter solenoid that sorted the problem.
