Just a small rant... As I go to checkout/purchase the TTO temp gauge for my cylinder head, shipping costs pops up $80CAD for a $67CAD item that should only weight like a pound! So they want me to pay $150CAD($110USD) to ship me an item straight off the trail tech website. Brent had purchased his on eBay for $70USD AND it includes everything else like speedo, tach/hour etc...oh and shipping included Wanted to purchase a new one from there site and $49.95USD sounded like a good deal.... gonna need to do some more searching.

That's insane. I'm sure that one of us could ship it to you for a lot, lot less.

Yes, I think eBay is going to be my option, I just hate the shipping times they offer. Kinda making me feel dumb for not just buying the one that displays it all! Temp speed rpms. About the battery, the site read "function on key switch for external power if battery dies". Does that include the 5-6years? Or is this saying that the scooter battery will charge it once the battery dies? spaz12 , I didn't think of getting one of you to ship it to me but I feel that would be taking advantage of the kindness people have here 🙂 Thanks for the thought tho!!

lol I'm being overwhelmed with such awesome people here! I just got some free stickers from larrball. I've only sent out some circlips and a trunk I'm gonna take a scan over some eBay items and maybe double check on US shipping 😉 Just really aweed at the fact that I sent out a trunk for basically same cost as the temp gauge gaaah Seems trailtech is the way to go, I'm okay with 5-6 years. I'll most likely have more scoots then anyhow heheee

The single units have no power leads, just run off of internal battery..I hate throwing stuff away and recently disassembled my failed TTO tach to look inside; Its well built, but totally potted in epoxy,,no repairs! I searched other brands, none come close..The Vapor stuff has battery input,so other than the additional cost, its a better long term setup + waay more info!!

I'm considered a hoarder, I hate throwing stuff away too! That tach looks a mess inside. I'm surprised you couldn't figure something out! I like the vapor models... gonna think on this one, maybe swap my no name tach for the vapor. I would prefer to have a DE cluttered dashboard.

Can the 14mm spark plug sensor be attached instead of the water sensor? ... I am referring to the link you posted. Mostly looking for a temp gauge, but if it is good quality and will last longer, then I may aswell get it all in one.

Yeah they have a cht option instead of the coolant probe. I like that it's backlit so you can see it at night.

Thanks for the share, Iv always wondered what they looked like inside. Now I will have a little more insight when I go to cut open mine when the battery's die. Its too bad they spot weld the contacts to the battery. Whats even more disappointing with this picture is that the battery is in the back of the gauge next to the rear cover...... Now how hard could it of been to to add a removable cover to replace the battery.

My apologies, I see the options! that is a good deal sir. How long has it lasted you so far? And does the weatherproofing prove successful?
