So I bought a 49cc tao tao 2015 with 50 miles on it. Now it has about 700 and last week started running really sluggish. When I first start it up it tops out at 15 mph and will stall when I stop. After riding it for a few minutes it will gradually get up to 30 mph but the acceleration is a lot slower then what it was. I changed the oil two weeks go and it ran fine for a few days and then this started happening. Any input would be great because I'm clueless.

Any input would be great because I'm clueless. Considering the abundance of troubleshooting internet information on the 139QMB engine . . not seeing much initiative or mechanical aptitude on your part. Can't fix lazy!

Pay no attention to the other member, he/they do not reflect the other members here that are more positive and will try to give you a hand. I would start with the basics, check the fuel system, fuel tank(water in fuel) filter, hoses. Wouldn't hurt to pull the carb and remove the fuel bowl and give everything a good cleaning. You can check this link where there is a wealth of information. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/board/9/49ccscoot-com-tech-library

Too much oil in the case can cause sluggish performance.
Check the compression and make sure the valves are adjusted right.

^^ Now that it has a couple miles on it, it may be time to adjust the valve lash.
