I am going to rebuild my Tao Tao 50 engine, looking at going with a BBK (any recommended kits out there?). I know I need a 64mm kit, but should I go ahead and convert to a 69mm seetup? I know I will need additional parts and I am ok with that, but is it worth it? Other than thicker intake and exhaust port walls, anything else?

How do you know you need a 64mm kit? AFAIK, TaoTaos commonly have 69mm valves.

Well I think I should look again. Watching the you tube video titled "64mm or 69mm Valves for 139QMB GY6 50 Scooter Engines" starting at about the 3:25 mark. Now I am looking with just the head off like at the 6:55 mark.

Definitely double check.
If you do indeed have a 64mm kit, I don't know that there's much difference in the 2 unless you're going to be raising the roof of the ports. Even then, I haven't cut aftermarket heads apart to know if they're the same as the stock heads I cut apart there or not.
