Hey all. So I'm installing my new Malossi Multivar as well as a Malossi Fly clutch on my 1998 Yamaha Jog Next Zone CY50 2T
What are the appropriate size sockets that i will need? I've read 17mm for the Variator nut and possibly a 38mm or 41mm for the clutch spring nut..?
any help would be greatly appreciated!
Also, How important is it to weigh each roller weights as well as grease the bearing/spacer on the clutch?

Have look round in the two stroke tech section from the home page,it,s covered in there, most folk seem to use an electric impact wrench on the variator and an adjustable spanner and a pair of nike trainers on the clutch .I,m old school and use a special tool to hold the variator and a torque wrench to finish off.The socket sizes sound about right,no need to weigh the rollers but keep each set together so you don,t unbalance them.Best not to get any grease near the clutch mine runs just fine dry.IMO change each part, try it, note down the changes then move on to your next mod,it,s easy to throw it all in but difficult to back track if you have trouble, have a look on you tube,I,ll post pics if you need more help. geoff

Preston?first guess is a brake stuck on or the clutch is locked up,read up in the technical section using pinkscoots links above.
