It would be great to hear riders experiences with higher performance cams. 50cc engines only. Please mention other mods, if any, derestricted or not, and whatever else you think is relevant.

Beginning to think no one has tried a different camshaft.

The A-9 cam would probably work on a 50cc. You'll need a free flow air filter and better exhaust to take advantage of the cam. Stock carb should work, just have to up-jet.
More fuel/air into the cylinder should see a performance gain under most circumstances.
I didn't install one on my 139QMB until I put a 47mm BBK and 20mm carb.
My 2 cents worth.

on a 49cc with koso vari, 4g rollers, 19mm carb i noticed it just kind of woke the engine up litle at 5000+ rpm. with 47mm and 50mm ncyvari and every mod imaginable it seemed like i could streetch the top speed out alot more and be gaining more speed slowly without the rpms rising too quick.

I used an NCY "performance cam" on the last 50mm kit I had. It picked up some power at higher revs. I'd expect similar results from the A9. Others also report gains, some put it 2nd to a BBK.
