Mine has straight grooves and there R3 instead of 2. I thought there would be two grooves and they would be curved. I am glad they are like this I think it performs smoother. Bit surprised this is on a 2015 Tao Tao. Every torque drive Iv seen from a 4 stroke(50cc) has had a straight/angled slots with 3 pins. There might be something out there that might be different, but I have not seen it.

I was comparing based on 90VertGT's post showing how to maintain and modify them. I guess the 2 pin design is from a 2 stroke? I keep learning more about these things!

There is no one standard for torque drivers. They can have different amount of pins/grooves and have different groove angles and lengths. Some use roller pins that seem to let the movement be more smooth and reduce wear (premium 50s and commonly on 150s).
