My scoot when taking of hits a good 7500 rpm, drops to 4-5 grand and never rises again. According to my research, the rpm in theory with a cvt should rise, level, and then at max extension should slowly begin to rise again. How can I achieve this.

A lot of the stock torque drivers (rear pulley)have duel angled grooves that control how they work. High rpm launch them they shift to a lower rpm for cruise. On the 2t bikes you can get a straight angles td that maintains a steady rpm. The admin has had good luck with hoca variators on the 2t bikes smoothing the shift out. I don't know what is available for the 4t

yeah, after market variator, or even some roller weight tuning would probably help. lighter weights that is. or a stiffer contra spring. general rule of thumb, to raise rpm use lighter rollers, to lower rpm use heavier rollers.

If your belt is worn or narrower than usual there is a good chance that you engine will spin up fast before the variator closes up to actually connect with the belt after the spillage has stopped to drive the rear transmission.

maybe try a 1k blue contra. stay away from the contra/torque springs from scooter part express they are a thinner gauged wire and really soft

My transmission did exactly this when the variator drive boss or bushing dried up. (The sleeve that the variator opens and closes over) I sometimes take everything apart, wipe it all clean of dust and apply a thin coating of high temp grease on it. Lasts a couple days. Throttle response gets better and it'll shift up better after apexing a corner. I run an open CVT so I actually do this frequently.

I had to put 4gram rollers in to get my rpm up to 8200 8400 on take off them drops to about 7800 then levels out to about 7900 to 8100 depending on elevation and wind.if I go to 4.5 gram rollers I loose about 500 rpm.
