I so one day I was riding then I started to loose power so I took my moped home let it sit. Next day had to go to the store so I went on my way back the belt broke.. everything ran fine at this moment. I changed the belt I got from i identical scooter I had but didnt run the belt was fine. Now that I changed it my moped idles fine but I have no torque or power. When on center stand I can get the back wheel to spin and the rpms up but if not on the center stand it will not take off... and it is also backfiring and acting like it has bad gas or the valves are out of adjustment please help. Btw the back wheel tries spinning when idling like the clutch is trying to engage.. I NEED HELP

Year, brand, engine modifications?
Verify variator weights are oriented properly in the ramps.

Sounds like you have belt debris caught in the rear clutch. You may have issues with the variator as well(roller out of place)

Yup just what everyone said , when the belt breaks while riding it almost always turns the variator rollers side ways, take the variator off a put rollers back in place correctly

I agree with the bits of belt being everywhere. When my belt broke, I really had to clean out the CVT, there was belt pieces and dust in everything.
Good suggestion about the rollers. It didn't happen to me, but I can see how easy the rollers can get turned around in the variator.
