Greetings,
I have a bit of a problem with my scooter. About a month ago my drive belt broke down to pieces and i had to push it home, sadly uphill for about a mile. Bought a belt and had it changed, but after the change it started to sound differently and had absolutely no power on the start. I would need to push off with me legs and it would start very slowly to about 15 km/h. After that it would start to gain speed. When I brought it to the official Peugeot handler, they told me it was the clutch, and they wanted a lot of money for the clutch. I drove it back to the guy who changed the belt, and we looked at the clutch, but there was nothing on it. All other parts look brand new, without the slightest scratch on them.
I feel like it isn't switching gears like it should. The start is really slow, and then it starts to vibrate when i reach about 25-30 km/h, and after that it starts to accelerate like it did before.
Do you think i should change the clutch? We cleaned the carburetor, filters, checked other parts we could, and it all looks good.
What kind of clutch do i have to buy for it? Does it have to be a clutch specifically designed for my scooter, or can you buy some kind of universal clutch which fits for more scooters.
Hope you guys have a great day, and i hope you can help me with this problem, because i'm kind of a noob.
Thanks.

When the guy changed the belt did he pull the variator off and make sure the roller weights were sitting correctly? You sure the belt is the right size? Any broken belt material stuck in the torque drive? I would pull all transmission parts, look at them and service (grease) them. Needs to be done anyway.
