Last night I was riding my scoot and all of a sudden it shut down on me. Luckily I was right by the house when it happened. Thought it may have something to do with the starter clutch because I know it's going bad but when I was looking at it today I found that I have no spark? Idk why? I just swapped our a bad stator, and all my connections are good. coil is good and plug is also good. Help please

How do you know the plug and coil are good? You tested them on another scoot? If so, you still have plug boot and wire and the CDI.

yes, I checked them on another scoot. haven't checked cdi yet. Would a cdi just go out like that?

yes, I checked them on another scoot. haven't checked cdi yet. Would a cdi just go out like that? Yup. I was riding along and mine just died and I costed to the side of the road. No spark. Replaced CDI and was back running again. Another time I stopped for ice cream and when I went to leave I had no spark. That time the exciter coil on the stator failed.

It was the cdi. Socks because I had the orange one (non restrictedo type) now back to the stock one. Do they even really make a difference?
