went to Mcdonalds really quick, to grab a couple of sundaes for me and my wife, sat in the drive through for I dont know how long, no response, other drive through lane was moving, finally went around, parked, locked up the scooter, go inside, and asked what the problem was, "we don't serve scooters, they are non road worthy vechicals, ' wtf? this is the same scooter I ride ten miles each way on 55 mph roads each weekday, it's legal to ride on the road, but not to go through the drive through, screw them, the place is a shithole anyway, this is the same company that refuses people on mobility scooters, which are road legal, and also bans bikes through the drive through, which are road legal

The coffee stands around here don't seem to have a problem on the scoot. Ive hit McDonald's but I shut it off at the speaker.

I haven't gone to a drive-thru is a while, but my problem was mostly that some drive-thru didn't seem to know I was there. I assumed there's not enough weight for the ones that use drive-on sensors. For that reason, McDonalds was the one that I used because they were the only one locally with face to face ordering. They never cared that I was on a scooter. I'm guessing your issue is more likely either with that 1 person or that 1 location.

It's a small world. Here in the U.K. They don't like motorcycles at their drive through. Might be because they think we are going to hold them up and use the crash helmet to hide our identity.

I got the same treatment there when I went through on my bicycle. The manager said their ordering system was only set up for cars and even though I was right there in front of her she could not (would not) make an exception. I got mad and did not go back to McDonald's for years but have gotten over it and do now go there occasionally even though it is a poor excuse for food. It is the fastest and cheapest breakfast alternative. I quit going to the local restaurants almost entirely as well due to the overpriced crap they serve. I can do much better at home.
I have not tried that on my scooter yet. I will go by there later and see if they allow scooters and post my results here.

No problems here in the far east. The only problem I had was my red Jog was too loud even when idling so the lady couldn't hear what I was ordering. She kept saying "excuse me, one more time please" over and over again till I turned off my scoot. From that day on, with my car -> drive thru, with my scooter -> go inside. But saying "scooters are non road worthy vechicals..."

They can't even see what your driving from inside.
Probably didn't trigger the system to let them know you were there, went inside, caught an employee at a bad time and was told of because they thought they were better than you because you rode a scooter.
not cool, would complain to mcdonalds or the manager or something.

I just don't give them my business. Then again, there are very few places that offer whole clean unprocessed foods that fit a paleo lifestyle.
