I just found a hole in the top diaphragm of my Keihin carb, I ordered another from ebay, but I'm looking for one that is parts, to repair this one, apparently parts are not available individually. This is a really nice condition carb, and a simple diaphragm would make it a good parts candidate,it kept getting slower and slower, then I was passed by a handicapped scooter, on the street, and I started digging more, this means it will be down for a couple of weeks, this sucks

I just ordered a Keihin carb for my Chinese scooter. It was only $27 delivered (from China). I stripped the old one of any usable parts took a deep breath and dropped the old one in the trash. The solution to your problem is a spare scooter but a spare carb is cheaper. I actually bought 2 of those even though I do not need any. Now when the cheap Chinese carb dies I will not have to wait for the slow boat plus I will have a spare.

well the one that is on here now is Keihin, it's not a counterfeit,I've worked on Keihin carbs for years, it just happened to get a hole in it, my guess would be that someone ran corn gas in it. The legitimate carbs are far superior to the cheap knock offs. If you can find an old ruckas carb, in 19mm they are still Japanese made. It figures today my unlimited CDI and my variator tool showed up, but I can't ride the bike. I have a good article on these carbs somewhere, there are design differences between the unbranded crap carbs and the legitimate ones

I think the Keihin carburetors I mention above are genuine Keihin products but I suppose they could be counterfeit. The Chinese make copies of virtually everything these days. Some are very good copies too but not all are. Keihin maintains a presence in many countries around the world including China and Taiwan. They are huge. Their headquarters is in Japan of course.

You may be able to use the diaphragm from a generic carb. If you have any lying around, try it.
