hi everyone, i qualify as one of those people that take junk apartand dont pay attention tonight😵. tore a stock head down for some port work and rebuild and didnt notice howthe exhaust studs came out. anyone know which end screws INTO THE HEAD? one side is short and the other ebd is shorter. the nutscrews down on either end so that didnt help me determine anything. thanks guys

The smaller end goes into the engine case just like cylinder studs do the same. This gives more area for the long acorn nuts to engage the threads. Use blue Locktite.
