Let my girlfriend ride it home the other night. she went to start it the next morning, and nothing. tried everything to get it to even slightly start. even in desperation tried a bit of starter fluid, still nothing, i have spark. gas appears to be entering the carb. could it be a dirty carb issue?
Im wondering if i need to adjust the valves. if so. i have no idea how to do it on this engine, if anyone who has done it before on this scooter could give me a step by step on how to do it, and how much, i would be supppper greatfull.
any help/ideas are appreciated, thanks!

Aero 125 is a 2t. There are no valves to adjust. Have you been adding oil to the oil tank? Did the throttle cable break at the oil injector (it's on the front of the motor at the base of the CYL)? Just throwing out ideas...
Did it fire at all with the starter fluid? Is it locked or does it turn over freely?
Those are pretty durable engines in general and it's not common for them to just die although it does happen as they are pretty old. I would check the compression of the engine for starters.

thanks matt!
yes compression is good. i did see oil leaking oil mix pump, so i added a half pint to a gallon of gas just so i knew its getting oil. were trailering it back to my apartment today so ill have more lighting and tools to try and fix it.
i'm hoping it was just super flooded from trying to start it so much, i've left the spark plug out and open for like 2 days now, so it'll definitely be dry, but that probably just a shot in the dark.

That much oil mixed into a gallon of fuel will make your bike run VERY lean. I'd check that compression again when you get more light and tools. Hopefully I'm way off base here. Matt

should i add another gallon of gas?
well i did a compression check a while ago and it was good. but while it was at my girlfriends, i put my thumb over the spark plug hole and it blew it right off easily.

If I were you, I'd drain the tank, make sure the auto lube is hooked up correctly and then figure out what is causing the issue with a little bit of fresh gas. Even a low compression engine will blow your finger off of the spark plug hole, but not start. It would have to be almost 0 compression for you to be able hold it there while the engine cranks over... or you're The Hulk, in which case good for you man. Matt

Could be the reeds, but they don't really have a reputation for failure on a stock engine. The Aero 125 has a comically small single petal reed cage, it's not under much stress normally. When you dig into these bikes you can really tell that Honda purposely understressed the Aero 80 and 125 for the sake of reliability in a 2t. Too bad the 125 only made it for one production year here in the US.

lol okay fugaziiv, apparently my girlfriend flooded it to all hell. Left the plug out and wire out for a couple days. went to her house, and it started RIGHT up. ahhg. figured i would try to get to the bottom of it before i went over there today. but apparently it was an easier solution than i thought. thanks for all the help fugaziiv, if it doesn't start for real at some point, i will refer to this.

May not be anything she did. There's a chance the vacuum petcock has failed the carb is flooding when parked.
