So... 55 mph. That's where I'm topping out on a flat stretch
Polini Corsa top end, Technigas Next R pipe,. Blah blah blah.... Stuff and nonsense. Fancy looking teflon coated Hoca variator. Nice Dellorto 17mm carb. Big open homemade air cleaner with like 2 sq. ft. of foam.
Am I pretty much there for the engine and parts I'm running or do I need to keep chasing fine tuning?
I have a Stage 6 pro replica pipe I could try on there but every bike I've ride with one has stupid low end bog that takes all the fun out of things.

I am dealing with the same problem with one of my builds. Is this on the TGB? Do you have a build thread with all the details ?

Man if that's your tgb 55 is pretty good without changing the stock gears.

There's not a consistent build thread. It's scattered.
Long case Minarelli engine, stock CPI gears, Athena crank, Polini Corsa top end, Stage6/vforce reed block, Stage6 rear facing intake, Dellorto 17mm PHBG, Technigas Next R pipe, Hoca variator with something like 4g rollers? stock rear pulley, Malossi Delta clutch, yellow contra spring, red clutch springs. Pushing a 130/70-12 tire.
It's the Jog engine I bought from O'Verse a few months back then swapped all the bits over to a long case because we have bumpy roads here.
It's all hanging in a TGB Key West frame.

That Stage6 Pro Rep sure is purdy, just runs like sh*t on any application..Ive ran the dimensions a few times and can come up with no easy fix other than sell it to a sucker and buy a Yasuni...

Do you run a tach and temp gauge with this setup ? If so what are your numbers ? Here is why I ask. Iv built a couple Polini Corsa's. On my second one I was running a 21mm carb & Techngas Next-r exhaust and was fighting high temp issues. Sadly I was chasing my tail because it was more a issue with the jet block inside the carb vs high compression and small squish numbers. Once I got past that, it ran much better but I was just reaching the hi 8k rpms arena and with long WOT runs I was still knocking on high engine temps door. This was frustrating. I had a feeling that the exhaust was holding me back RPM wise and the carb was not helping with the temps. I picked up another exhaust and larger carb(28mm). Now high temps are rarely an issue. The engine is now sluggish till I can get it into the 7k rpm range, then after that its a whole different scooter. I do have taller gears and I think that's not helping things on take-off's. I personally think with my experiences, your carb and exhaust might be holding you back from a few extra mph's at the top.

I'd sharpie test your variator. Make sure your getting maximum belt travel first. According to this exhaust test www.tuningmatters.com/reviews/exhausts/scooter-tuning-exhaust-test/ ran on a liquid cooled 70cc cylinder the Stage 6 pro supposedly has .9-1.0 more horsepower than the tecnigas next-r. I'd throw in stronger clutch springs, slightly heavier roller weights, and the stage pro replica. Try to sling shot yourself into the pipes powerband and let the heavier weights do the rest. But, you already know my thoughts. Yasuni C-16 & Stage 6 MkII cylinder combo. Question is the extra money worth another 10-15mph. I think Jareebs hit over 70mph with that combo in a Spree frame.

Corsa... heck you should be doing 75 easy. I ran a pro rep and I didn't have any issues with it. The bike I ran it on ran pretty strong with just a cast cylinder. You just need to get into the 8k range for clutch engagement

That Stage6 Pro Rep sure is purdy, just runs like sh*t on any application. i dont know about that, ive run the pro rep with a stage6 streetrace, naraku hpc crank, a 17.5mm polini cp carb, stock variator with 5g sliders, stock rear pulley with hoca straight torque driver sheave,2k clutch and torque spring, 788-17-28 belt, stock gears with 14.3:1 final gear ratio and it ran absolutely awesome! with this setup from stand still it would start to lift up the front end when i gave it the throttle. so im not really sure what your talking about it running like sh*t?
