hi guys..........just bought a 2005 zuma 50 with a 70cc kit installed......takeoff sucks from 0-10 mph..... checked variator and seems the belt is pretty tight on the variator... so took it apart and no washer was in between the halves....does anybody know were I could find a suitable replacement.....maybe hardwere store? Thanks

Make sure that you are running the stock Yamaha belt as well. It's the absolute best with the stock CVT.

It has a polini belt installed.... seems like it's kinda wide for it

If it,s a long case and OE spec you don,t want a washer between the variator plates they need to close as much as poss to maximise belt travel The Yamaha belt is 738 x 16.5 Naraku part number NK900.12,measure the pollini belt with some string round the outside if it,s not 738 bin it.But before you do can we please have a race round at mine geoff

Hi guys got everything back together on the zuma.......ordered a ventilated clutch bell from scrappy dog scooters along with a 1.5 k contra spring..... Scooter runs awesome ...pulls great all the way up to about 38.....then tops out around 45 with my 270 pound butt on it with no washer in variator..thanks for all the advice guys much appreciated
