Currently somewhere on the back end of my own build hopefully. My tgb is a 04 101s it has the stock cdi with the brown wire removed from the plug. I haven't hit a review limiter on it running a technigas pipe but now that I'm doing some other things I was thinking of getting a better cdi. I have seen plenty guys mention that they tried certain cdis from eBay or somewhere else that didn't work. I have also seen somewhere that a stock genuine buddy cdi works great on them. I found a malossi cdi that looks like it would fit, dunno if it will work but the plug looks right. www.racingplanetusa.com/unit-malossi-unrestricted-peugeot-carburetor-immobilizer-p-13070-1.html?backcPathco=21&cPath=9098_9312#.WXny1qApDqAWhat have you guys tried, how did it work?

Can't tell ya years. I've seen two different TGB CDIs and apparently you have the third type. One is unrestricted. One is restricted with nothing you can do about it. One has the magical brown wire. I had a restricted one, nipped the brown wire, instead of running badly at the limiting point it shut off, lol.
Genuine Buddy 50 CDI is plug and play, and my butt told me it had more bottom end but butts can lie. Never trust a big butt and a smile.
I've used one of the Chinese "performance" CDIs also with no problems but had to build a pigtail adaptor to plug it in as I didn't want to cut the plug off my harness. I'm scatter brained and don't take notes so I can't help with those details, I just studied the pin out for the CDI and the TGB wiring diagram.
On the Key West at least the harness already has the right wires coming into the plug for either a DC or AC CDI. I think? I know that the CDI is 5 pin, the harness has 6 wires going to the plug. The Buddy CDI has a different pin pattern than the stock TGB but it worked with no wiring modifications.

Wow cheaper and I've bought from them before with not much issue. Thanks man. I hope they will take it back if it doesn't work? Anybody know there return policy?

He is pretty knowledgable with scooters. I would call him and ask if it works and see if he will let you return it if doesn't fit.
