I bought a zuma motor months back and when i got the chance to look it over it had a Polini cast cylinder. It has no part number anywhere except the piston which i cant find squat about. I was told there should be a stamp in the exhaust port so i got to cleaning it with no luck. It has a chrome ring and a black ring and from ive seen the piston looks like a corsa piston but i search polini sport and it looks to be the same piston. Does anyone here know much about polinis? Im think it might be an old cylinder.

You can find some port maps HERE that may help you ID it. Photobucket took away the corsa map there, but it essentially looked like the same thing as the sport, but with the ports about 1mm higher in the cylinder.

The sport cylinder will still have the rough casting in the exhaust port, the corsa is polished smooth and has a 2 letter stamp in the port. The corsa also has a chrome top ring. Here are a few other changes but the easiest way to tell if it's a Corsa is to check the exhaust port.

Exhaust port is def not smooth but the piston rings and piston itself throw me off. Im searching for port maps so i can rule it out.

Then the cylinder isn't the corsa if it's not smooth. The piston and/or rings could of been replaced with the corsa version. Or the rings may just be worn down and look chrome.

Yea its just a sport. I can either toss it or pay $125 yo have it ported. The cylinder walls dont look bad at all so maybe it just needs new rings. Not sure if its worth it though.

There's nothing wrong with the sport kit, unless you're after something with high revving power. They're good for street use. Porting and adjustments can be done on your own to improve them if you have something specific in mind. Measurement and inspection would help you decide if it's worth buying rings for, or if it needs more.

Its gonna go on my jog but i'd like to get a little more power out of it because who doesnt want morw power right? I have a Yasuni c16 from my other build that wont be finished for a long time so i might use that if i get it ported. I also have a stage6 manifold foe the jog already and a 21mm dellorto. I might be using the 24mm on my other bike. The jog has what i believe to be an Athena variator and so far i've been able to get it up to 52mph on flat ground fully tucked. So i imagine with this cylinder ported and a good pipe i'd easily get up to 60 fully tucked. I came from tuning the ruckus 50cc motor to 55mph which wasnt easy so this should be fun.

55mph Ruckus... I was in the 50mph club myself. I miss my Ruckus. Slow but the GET motor is bulletproof! Scooter ninja variator got me to 53mph!
