This is the most bizarre problem I've run into with scooters. I bought a non-running Kymco Super 8 2T 50cc and just found out that the CDI box and connecting pin was cut off. There are 6 wires there now and it's missing the 6-pin adapter and the CDI. Will I have to get a Kymco specific part for this to run? Or just any 2T CDI will do? www.partsforscooters.com/50cc_Minarelli_cdi_169-117?sc=34&category=132416Would something like this work? I'd have to figure out where all the different wires go to as well. If that doesn't work and I need a OEM Kymco part could someone point me to where to buy one along with the connector pin

That,s quite a problem you have, pretty sure the one your looking at will work but the wiring will be hard to sort out,Ideally you,d be better off finding a scrap Super 8 and cutting the CDI and plug off, that way you only have the wires to splice.Browse the technical section Brent has fitted similar CDI,s and reviewed them, good luck on your quest.

I'm not sure. Is that just written on the engine somewhere?
It's a 2013 50cc 2T Super 8 if that helps
