Just wanted to get some info on what type of springs you guys are using with the 80 bbk's i have a tao tao thunder 50 with a recently installed 80cc bbk,mrp exhaust and pod filter and it basically sucks its not much better than stock still bairly gets up hills and i almost get run over on the way to work in the mornings, i bairly ride it due to this been riding my other bikes . I think changing these springs will help i just dont know which will be best for me.i have a 11mile ride to work down a very busy 2 lane road thats very hilly and non stop sharp curves too.

im running stock with a 72 kit. these work out around 2000RPM. it runs great. I think tuning the carb will help more. as youve gone from a 50 to an 80, new exhaust and air filter you really need to upjet your carb as it will be running very very lean, which will cause damage to the engine due to excess heat. Do you get pops or backfires in your exhaust? pull your plug. What colour is it? White? Brown? Black? What is your current Main + idle jet?
