Scooter bros, I need some help! So i picked up a long case minarelli for my build thinking it would go in fairly easy and now i am at a halt as far as mounting it. Here is what came out of my scoot. I has this H type bar that mounts to the engine then that mounts to the frame. Setting the engine back a little bit. The long case has a rod that is mounted to the motor that the bolt goes through. what is the best approach as far as mounting this long case in its place? Mind you the thru bolts are different diameters on the engines. Has anyone encountered this before? Can i just bolt the motor straight to the scooter frame and skip the H bar or can i get different bushings for the long case and use the H bar how it is intended? if that is the case where can i find these bushings?

if it will fit without the extender then you don't need it. but I bet not only do you need it, you need to make it longer to clear the frame.

I don't think I will need to make it longer I just need to figure out how to get these bushings out and switch them to the new motor I think. I tried putting the motor up in with out the bar and I don't think I will have room for a carb haha.

good luck getting those bushings out in one piece. heat the metal but not hot enough to soften the rubber, then using a socket the same o.d. of the bushing try driving it out with a hammer. I would take some measurements and shop around online for bushings by size

How do I know that they will be the correct inside diameter for the bolt.

The ones 190mech linked for you are the correct ones. Not to discourage you, but that mount is a PITA to work with. Take your time and get the intake sealed up correctly, you dont want to have to pull it all apart again, again.

I think I figured it out! I'm going to play around with it tomorrow. Will update in this thread and the build thread.

Pay attention to where your wheel is lining up. I swapped from a short case to a long case, 90/90-10 to 130/70-14, and the new rig had to sit a good bit to the left of the previous engine. All.my engine mounting stuff has been hacked and welded.
