Hi i have a benelli k2 100. i believe the carb is similar to a yamaha 100 aerox there is a car issue in that fuel is not getting to it. if i take the fuel line that goes to carb from the petcock off at the petcock end and start the scooter fuel flows from the petcock. when i reattach it i can see some fuel in the line but its not making its way all the way to the carb. any ideas appreciated. cheers

Some photo,s would help but normally there are two pipes off the pet cock the smaller is the vacume line if you suck on it, fuel should flow freely to the carb,if it,s not flowing check the petcock if it is check the carb float height, check brent,s how to section, some filters are one way maybe yours is upside down.

What Geoff said plus, maybe the hoses are blocked. Get yourself some clear fuel and vacuum hose so you can see whats going on.

thanks guys. the petcock has two input lines left and right from the tank. it has one output to the carb. the line to the carb is in an arc shape. i can see some fuel being pushed into it but it doesn't seem to have enough force to push fuel all the way to the carb. when i suck on the vacuum line fuel does exit from the petcock. clear fuel lines are a good idea. i cannot see any fuel filters anywhere which seems strange. i did move the petcock slightly from left to right and tried to start the scooter which it did momentarily. i think the petcock may be leaking at the underneath as i can now see some small fuel spillage. i will remove it and inspect. will let you know. thanks again.

please attached picture of setup. the petcock seems ok. fuel seems to be exiting from the OUT petcock tube to the carb. scooter will not start. can anyone suggest the best steps to debug this issue?. have not been able to get the clear fuel tube yet but the existing ones seem ok. i put a clear one on the vacuum line. thanks

managed to get her started - the float needle was not letting fuel through. she seems to idle but will not accelerate and bogs down and dies.

Without the intake the scoot is running very lean and will seize on you. If you don't put the stock intake on then you will have some tuning to do.

thanks everyone for your help. i connected the intake and she seems to run fine now. for any other noobs, i found it was the float needle that was stuck - i took the float bowl off and then tried pouring fuel into the carb. no fuel was coming through to the bowl. blew out the float needle tube and squirted with carb cleaner. retested and fuel was now coming through ok. thanks again.

Thanks for reporting back with the solution. The float valve should never be ignored as you trouble shoot.

My thanks too for your update.
Also, remember that not all filters work well with a gravity system. And try to advoid corny gas since it will gum up your fuel system if left alone. Especially over winter!
