Aloha!
First post in a while..
My 08' Zuma has a bit of a funky problem with its idle. I've noticed that at some lights the idle is high, around 2100 RPM, and at the very next light it could settle down as low as 1500 RPM. On a cold start and warm-up the idle seems fine around 1750 RPM. Any idea what the issue could be? Stock with throttle mod, running AMsoil injector oil and premium gas. Head temps haven't gone above 280F, RPMs top out close to 8K.
Mahalo!

A surging/high/or inconsistent idle is usually a sign that it's a tad lean. You could try richening it up by turning the idle mix screw in (if it's an AIR screw) or out (if it's a fuel screw) to richen. Sounds like the auto "choke" (actually an enricher) is giving it a bit of extra fuel at startup which further support that the idle may be a bit lean. Good luck!
