Hello, Visiting my friend and took a ride on his scooter and got all excited to get one. Don't have a big budget but found a Eton Beamer Matrix that wouldn't start. Picked it up as a fun project and now I need some help. After troubleshooting everything I decided to rip the head apart and after taking the cylinder body off it didn't look right. Looks like someone dropped it. Just wanted to confirm that this is all stock, person I bought it from said it might have a big bore kit on it. And only thing I could find was this - goo.gl/cNBpBq - Wanted to ensure it would work. ORRR if any find folks had one laying around your willing to sell. Only marking on the body is 72CM3 Thanks!

Looks like someone dropped the cylinder and broke off the skirts one side. The cylinder does not look stock by the thickness of the cylinder skirt.

Thanks, hoping for another fun hobby.
After looking at stock and big bore can see the difference in the sides.
Any advice if it's better to go back stock or stay big bore. Only concern is have is trying to tune it or I've read about different carb jets.
Thanks

Yeah I noticed that when I opened it up. At first I was hoping it was just a leak and that was the issue. Whomever damaged it most likely just put it back in a hurry. The cylinder seems fine but want a kit to be safe. The 2 kits I'm looking at are: 50cc manufacturer is eton goo.gl/b8qMVKBig Bore by Paul eagle goo.gl/nsGF3G

Most will recommend a name brand kit, such as Polini, Hoca for example.
I'd suggest sticking with a bbk, instead of rebuilding a 49 and finding that you want more power.
Myself, I bought a cheap $43 72cc kit from ebay. Came with the 47mm cylinder, piston, rings, pin, clips, needle bearing, cyl head, base gasket, head gasket and O ring. It was a discounted kit because the transfer ports needed some smoothing. I believe it was originally marketed as "Universal Parts BBK". What can I say, it works, it runs stronger than the 49cc did. Yet, a high end kit will surely be of better quality.
Which ever you choose, ensure you buy one with correct wrist pin size 10mm vs.12mm.

Awesome, thanks for all the help to everyone. I ordered some parts and should get them in a few weeks. Try and remember to update once I get everything and hopefully it fixed my issue.
