While disassembling my engine my stator got nicked pretty good. I need you guys advise on whether I can still use it or not? I don't know alot about the electrical side of these scoots. Thanks.

Ok, I'm going to replace the stator but the ones I'm looking at they look identical but the color of the wires is not the same. Does this matter?

Here's a pic of mine, five wires total, two individually and 3 in a plug. I'm wondering if it would be the same layout because all of the ones I've looked at have different colored wires. I'm about to look in my Haynes manual and see if there are wiring diagrams. Any help with this is much appreciated guys!

Test continuity first, if ok, then hot melt glue and test it again...what do you have to lose?

If you find one for a Minarelli and it has the same connectors, it should work. The two loose wires will be the exciter and pickup. Should be lighting/charging and ground wires in the 3-pin.

Ok, so the two loose wires for exiter and pickup, it doesn't matter which way you hook them up? No pos-neg?

Ok, so the two loose wires for exiter and pickup, it doesn't matter which way you hook them up? No pos-neg? It does matter what they're hooked to. It's not a polarity issue. It's just making the right connections. Sorta like you wouldn't want to plug your monitor into the ethernet port of your computer. Unless I'm mistaken, they have different male and female ends so it's hard to botch the connection. If not, just look at it and you can see what wire goes where. Whatever wires comes out of the pickup should connect to where the blue/white wire from your stock stator went.
