I unsealed my carb this week so I could tweak my air/fuel screw and found that my Keihin carb uses a d slot head. Does anyone know what size it is and where the best place is to source one from? I had a few different sizes at my old work so I know they aren't all the same size. I had a super handy one that was short and had a knurled knob on the end to adjust some ATV carbs but it wasn't very cheap.

Somebody else here had that situation. I don't remember who and what the solution was. I would just slot it with a Dremel tool cutoff wheel.

If you have an old telescopic radio antenna it's easy to make the D-shaped tool you need. Cut out the part of the antenna that have just the right diameter to fit tightly around your D-shaped a/f screw, and then give your antenna a dent to make it D-shaped. Done it myself, works great.

Thanks guys. The antenna idea is great! Unfortunately I don't have an antenna laying around, but I might have something else that will work. I found the tool I used to have for $16, which isn't bad. On the other hand, I can order a rebuild kit for $8.50 and not have to worry about having a special tool to adjust the fuel screw and then I'll have an adjustable jet needle. That's the route I'm going!

Ive read that you can also heat the end of an Bic stik ink pen, push it on the screw and remove it. I choose the dremel tool, Just cut a small slot and adjust away.
