I have a Keihin PD19J on my scooter; will a PZ18 rebuild kit work in that carburetor? The parts look correct, but I don't want to buy it only to find out the components are completely different. I only see two PD19J kits on ebay- one that's $20 and one that's $7.50, but ships from China. However, there's a bunch of inexpensive PZ18 kits on there. Many of the scooter websites just list a "139QMB repair kit" and mention nothing about the carburetors they fit. The three components I'd like to use from it are the inlet needle, the air/fuel screw, and possibly the jet needle. Thanks.

hi !
would you be kind enough to scale weight the Grams spec of your PD19J Floats, please ?
as to yours help question, i can say that be sure to have correct weight floats, and be aware that at least Idle jet structure varies regarding static Fuel pressure effect..

well.. today as an out of interest i sacle weighted 1 of my pz18 (CVK standard of cz) Floats. result was 8grams, which im going to double check on crocery store scale tomorrow....
i can already make 1 obvious Conclusion: as the Float is so Heavy, its no surprise that the GY6 carbs that have Fuel level set too high (tang manufacturing tolerance..) at factory, suffer from so much Over Fuelling, as such Heavy float Multiplys the static fuel pressure muchos....
im interested to hear if anybody has PD19J Float in hand to Weight..

Thanks for the replies.. I missed your post yesterday. I probably won't have time until the weekend to pull my carb apart and check it out. My scale also doesn't go that high so I'll need to order one or see if I have one at work I can use. It might be a little bit until I can get an answer on what my float weighs.

no horry, my PD19J types of carbs are project carbs (some are missing parts).
i have maybe 7 different Manufac pz18 PD18J PD19J carbs. afaik iirc all my 19mm's are in various stages, not all identifyed, missing parts, as most are bike breaker yard scavenged...found.
from the mentioned pz18 (CVK standard of cz) i can take measures from parts for you if needed, such as Throttle slide Diameters and Height. Needle profile comparison photo, etc obvious that might differ in pz19 Vs PD19J.
im thow not able to take actual photos from PD19J parts, so i may deliver only pz18 photos, and rest is "photo to photo" visual comparison for like Needle profile.
its also good to compere the idle jet structure, which i can make drawing and measures, as ive mentioned they varie....
i have also 1 carb that is from 2005 i think, that has Plastic black "lid" throttle slide topcap on it that has text in it: "Walbro designed in Japan". being like walbro knockof clone fake.
yes, digital scale is good buy, must have item for scooter owner, or any1 with working among Carb's.
