Welcome to the forum Sounds like you will have to pull it back apart and find out why it didn't seal up right. Maybe a gasket curled up, or moved? And with it not being sealed you have an air leak, which two stroke motors don't deal well with. Also, you might need to use some grey permatex, like Yamabond, or similar.

I think I've read somewhere that some motors, but I believe Morini style motors, have clearance issues with something and that a fin needs to be ground down. I don't know of this issue on a Jog style motor.

Minarelli clone motors will have oil pump crashing problems with 70cc cylinders, many will need metal removed at the transfer duct and cylinder finning,if not done the oil pump will be broken and the cylinder base will not seal..

Another good reason to premix.

Another good reason to premix. --no premix for me, oil pump all the way. You just need to adjust the cable...unless your motor revs beyond 10k all the time. Oil injection is just so much easier than premix...provided he has a Dremel to clearance the fins. I had to do that on my Motoforce mid-race bore and it ran well with the oil pump cable adjusted.
