Hey im going to replace my rear drum brakes on my 80cc big bored moped. i have a 2014 vip cy50a with duel shocks and 12 inch wheels and rims. i dont know if i should get the 105mm or the 125mm rear drum brake.
since i have the bigger 12inch wheels. is the size of the rear brake drum depended on the size of the wheel? or is it based on just the motor and wheel size doesnt matter? i have the 1p39qmb engine. i would really appreciate an answer on which size i should get. Thanks for your time!

The larger one will have more power, but the rear brake has limited ability. It only provides some stability. The front one is where the braking is. But just for your health, learn to use 2 fingers on the lever.

The real answer is just measure your old one, as long as you can keep your 'duel' rear shocks from fighting...

its just annoying when people respond and say stuff that has nothing to do with the question. there should be a way to know without having to take my wheel off and swing arm to measure it. pluse i dont even have calipers.

You don't need calipers for a measurement like that. 20mm is a big difference.

If you have a problem here, you can always go somewhere else.

"2 fingers on the lever(s)" most likely pointed into a skilled/poorman's "ABS brakes" ,by making the best out of the Stock brakes, using their Full potential.
regarding them drumm brake diam's, "bigger is better", take also into consideration the Countereffects such as "more surface" to have dust etc dirt between it While Braking, that will Loss anything extra gained on bigger diam size.
in other words when going bigger in diam, it isnt always 1:1 gained improvement on Performance.
in anycase, to Balance that countereffect, i would Consider Shoes that have some tiny grooves on them at friction surface...you know...
