I don't know the product. A 4t only needs a spark every other stroke. However, when the ignition trigger is on the crank, as opposed to on the cam, the spark occurs every stroke.

It should be set to 1 spark per revolution.

yep, it's called a wasted spark ignition,as it fires on both intake and exhaust

On setting 02 it say I'm idling at 3100 to 3600. It sounds as slow as the idle adjustment video 90gtvert made. Could it be more accurate for me to use setting 01 as I'm seeing 1600 to 1900.
I think I got a bunk tach. I can't see any reason why the scooter would be idiling so high. On either setting.

1600 to 1900 is normal.

My cheapo tach uses the setting for every rev spark, however, it reads 1-1.2k at idle unless I put pressure on it (mounted with Velcro). Then it reads more believably. Any ideas as to why that is? Also, up to 1900 is pretty reasonable for idle. Mine reads 1700-1900 with pressure. 1500 ±100 is what gy6 seems to be rates for.

Some cheap ass tachs do work better. 1st Tach unreliable at idle and just motoring on. It might read any of three different rpms at a steady speed and throttle setting within any one city block. Bad tach! 2nd tach reads reliably and repeatably at idle and while putting down the road. Both were configured to count pulses on every rotation altho it is a 4t taotao cuz that's how they work. #1 tach, not so good. Too Cheap! #2 tach, works much better. Not as cheap.
