UPDATE: WE BOUGHT a impact tool and the stupid clutch wont loosen up. any suggestions other than a variator locking thing?

UPDATE: we were able to get the clutch off and fixed the belt and sounds fine. we needed to add liquid wrench to loosen the rust apparently. I want to thank everyone for your advise.

I would remove the belt case cover and check that the clutch(driven end) can freewheel. You should be able to twirl the outer clutch bell with ease. It will want to turn the rear wheel when you do if the final drive gears are good. If it binds, and hangs on the belt, then you'd want to take it apart and clean out the shreds & chunks so it can move (rotate) freely. I would look at the variator to see if it could move or was bound up. It should move to 'grab' the belt as engine rpms increase, and should 'leave it alone' until the rpms climb. If it is stuck so it grabs the belt all the time, then "there's your problem, lady" seems to apply. tom

it is work great grumpy and just in time as I have a doctors appt on monday and to get to them i would need to walk about 3 miles after the bus lets me out...and the all equipment is in good shape so I am in good shape.
