The manual for the TaoTao ATM50-A1 was translated into poor English, or as I like to call it "Chinglish". I can't tell what type of oil it calls for since it lists two and it's a poor translation. The plate on the scooter says "15W-40" and I saw a YouTube user also use 15W-40. So that's what I put in it. Did I use the wrong type of oil or is the manual just making it more confusing than it needs to be?

point being why Recommended MotorOil is the 15W-40 , is that it will Absorb better audible noises from such like Valve's etc. it will also endure better oil film Vs thinner oils, work betetr as a dampener for ticking mechanical tolerances.... These 139QMB's run hot......1 of the very important Task of the engine oil is to absorb heat into it from Cylinder assy, it helps to cool the engine.
the 15W-40 is thow summer temp oil, so use Suitable oil viscosity per time of the year temp....
iirc CoC papers state 139QMB to Circulate 3,8-Liters of motor oil/1-minute.
so choose Oil well correctly....

Make sure you use 4T oil or diesel engine oil. Regular car motor oil does not have the right anti- wear additives.
