Is this where I put the brake fluid in my ATM50-A1? Also, is there a top part of the box that's missing? I bought the scooter last week and the owner said there may be a leak somewhere in the brake line, but I don't know where to put brake fluid in to test it.

The leak is probably not having the lid on but could be any where in the system. My advise would be to get the whole assembly. If not you'll probably need to rebuild the piston because you have no idea what's been in there and its probably rusted. Once you get it all squared away here is a link to bleeding them: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/376.

E Brake fluid has hygroscopic properties so no telling badly contaminated it is. It really would be the best thing to replace the whole complete unit.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I am going to be replacing the entire assembly, as well as replacing the back brake shoe, since it's starting to squeak.
