The little golden bracket clip with the teeth that goes over the rod right behind the CVT cover. The teeth are stripped on the bracket so I tried to weld it to the rod that makes the brakes open and close. Anyone know how to remove both the bracket and the rod. I have another scooter I can take good parts from

Normally you'd unbolt the lever and then the cam would slide out through the wheel side. It's been a few since I replaced a brake cam, but I think they only come out that way. If it's welded, you'd need to break the weld or chop off the end so the cam can pull through. Once you take the wheel off, you can see the brake cam. It sits between the shoe ends and turns to open them.

I have another scooter I can take good parts from Hi, Wow, someone sure goobered up that brake actuating arm but here is an example of what it should kind of look like. I think you will need a new arm, tightening bolt & nut & etc plus the actuating cam. It may come to just cutting off the old stuff from the back side with a saws-all and putting in replacement parts. Maybe you can find a used brake hub somewhere? The enclosed image is from a TaoTao 50cc manual but that brake setup is a pretty std. config. for a mechanical rear brake so don't despair, the parts are out there. Good luck, Greg
