So ive been trying to figure out my start issue. I wired my scoot to a marine cranking battery, and the think will crank faster than anything. And still sometimes will only start when i kick it. Even when warm I have to kick it to start. I could run it for an hour. Shut it off and still have to kick start it. Im going to do a compression test on it when i get home. What should i be looking for compression wise with a 80cc bbk. Only reason i question that is when it does finaly start. The power is the same and it runs great.
Hypothetically speaking if it is toast. A new bbk should restore my compression with new jug, piston, and rings i would think. Scoot has 9k km on it. 6 with a bbk

150psi is good; 190 is high; it will run on 120 or a little less. Is your valve clearance ok? Can you use your comp tester to put compressed air into the spark plug hole (with the valves closed of course); then time how long it takes to leak down? Someone help out with some numbers here please.
