Pretty soon I will be getting my motorcycle licence here in Florida. I already have a 150cc Diamo Velux sitting in the garage waiting for me to take her out. I plan to ride her in the winter and on rainy days. I have never tuned a GY6 so I need some answers from the "49ccscoot braintrust."
1. What performs better, 2 valve 180cc or 4 valve 150cc? -ie top speed, acceleration, fuel economy, longevity
2. Is there a 180cc 4 valve cylinder and piston?
3. does anyone really sell a 200cc kit or are sellers just rounding up from 180 like they do on QMB with so called 100cc kits?

Sorry, I haven't spent much time on the bigger GY6s.... 3)You have to get a stroker crank to make 200cc. A lot of the kits are nowhere near 200cc that claim to be. Stock GY6 150 57.4mm x 57.8mm = 149.6cc Big Bore58.5mm x 57.8mm = 155.4cc 59mm x 57.8mm = 158cc 60mm x 57.8mm = 163.4cc 61mm x 57.8mm = 168.9cc 62mm x 57.8mm = 174.5cc 63mm x 57.8mm = 180.2cc +8.2mm Stroker Crank57.4mm x 66mm = 170.8cc 58.5mm x 66mm = 177.4cc 59mm x 66mm = 180.4cc 60mm x 66mm = 186.6cc 61mm x 66mm = 192.9cc 62mm x 66mm = 199.3cc 63mm x 66mm = 205.7cc There are more stroker cranks and maybe larger bores? out there, but again I dunno much about the GY6 150 aftermarket so I just did some figurin' for ya. ;D I know I saw some kits or whole engines up around 232cc or so when I looked some time ago.

I know +4 and +2 stroker crank's exist too.

+3 as well. I just used the largest I know of to show what it really takes to be 200cc.

For what it is, bargain. If they did stroker crank's for the 139QMB, imagine what fun (and expense!) you could have had.

Alright. Informative enough. So... As for the next question, 4 valve 150cc or 2 valve 180cc? which is better.

Ah, so it's not available on a stock scoot. I'd opt for the increased displacement TBH.
I know that in cars four valve's instead of two doesn't offer a significant performance gain, but lightens the valve's to reduce valve seat recession.

I agree that the displacement would probably offer more than the 4V. Never tried either though.
