Hi everyone, Hopefully someone will be able to help me. My son has a Peugeot v-clic, 61 plate.
It wasnt starting on the button and getting hard to start by kicking. One day last week he came home from college and later when he went to start it, it wouldn’t start. After some fault finding I narrowed it down to a fuel issue. I removed the carb and cleaned it the old fashioned way of boiling it in the wife’s pan, which she wasn’t happy about. After reassembling the carb it will now start and idle but won’t rev up.
However there is a little sleeve at the bottom of the carbs float chamber, if I remove this sleeve the bike will then rev out correctly however won’t idle.
The float moves up and down the chamber with ease, the air mixture screw is set to 2.5 turns out which is what it was at prior dismantling.
Any help would be greatly appreciated due to my son needs it for Monday morning.
Thanks in advance Steve
